International Business Travel and Opportunities: Have You Ever Been to Central Asia?

Central AsiaI actually love traveling. However, my business and work chain my leg to the office - Living the 4-Hour Workweek’s Tim Ferriss way is a vision and dream yet to achieve :)

When the time comes, there are places I am eager to visit, either for business and leisure.

If you are a budding entrepreneur look to invest overseas, I suggest you to consider the Central Asia region.

Investing in the Silk Road and ex-Soviet Union members

Central Asia travel, either for business or leisure, is interesting and fascinating.

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Uzbekistan travel destinations and business prospects are, in my opinion, underrated.

Known for oil and gas wealth, the Central Asia region is full of potential, mainly dominated by investors from Russia - the world’s largest natural gas producer. It is about time for small(er) investors to partner with local businesses.

Overall, the Central Asia is growing constantly, since the spin-offs from the Soviet Union.

I suggest you to partner with local representatives that can aid you in business deals with local businesses, as well as helping you to understand the people’s customaries, as well as business customs and other business-related issues.

Traveling in Central Asia

Of course, in-between your business dealings and negotiations, there are plenty of places of interest to visit and local delicacies to savour.

Panfilov Park in Almaty, Kazakhstan, lake Issyk Kul (the world’s second biggest mountain lake), Kyrgyzstan, and Khiva, Uzbekistan sight seeing are some of the interesting places to visit.

You must keep this in mind, though - you need to hire a travel guide that also act as your translator.

I recommend Central Asia

Despite language barriers, Central Asia is a place to visit, either for business or leisure.

I have Central Asia countries in my notebook, along with South Africa and New Zealand, as the place to visit and do business.

How about you?

  1. My friend went to Uzbekistan, got a taxi in the airport for $50. The taxi took him to his hotel and the driver said that my friend owes him $100. He just lied fragrantly. Beware.
