You need to eliminate all of the background noise and focus on the real problem. As the author points out all of the distractions like cell phones actually prevent us from recognizing the real problems and doing something about them. Its like that with all devices and networks. If facebook is up I get caught on it or if I am on twitter, I get stuck on there. Good points on this post about staying focused and recognizing the problem. I have not written these things down like you have mentioned, but will be starting too because I see how useful it is.
