When you have a business, regardless if it is big or small, you already know the importance of image. If you do not portray a professional image it is likely that you will remain stagnant and hence, unsuccessful. Ask yourself this question, where does the very first image of your company come from? In other words, what is the first thing that potential customers see? The answer is your logo. Everyone sees your logo. Your employees see it and so do potential customers and current customers. Understanding the magnitude of the company logo is one thing, the next question is can you do this yourself or should you hire a professional?

Do you have the capacity and creativity?

Do you have the capacity and creativity to design your own logo? This means no clip art or cheesy templates. Do you know how to use color and what size to make your logo so it can be transferred? Does your capacity to design your own logo far surpass using Microsoft Word? Even answering no to one of these questions can be detrimental to your company. It is actually better to not have a logo at all than to have one that is sub par. Your logo should be placed on everything that you use for your company and because of that you will want a good response rate. Without complete professionalism your bottom line is not going to surge.

Is your logo outdated and lack style?

It is also very important that your logo is not outdated and that it is stylish. Being realistic, there are some logos that are going to work and some will not. Your logo needs to absolutely capture the essence of your business and the message that is conveyed should be welcoming. Now it does not matter what size your business is. Even the smallest business can give a huge impression with a spectacular logo design.

Can you design an everlasting logo?

Another thing to consider is that your logo is not something that you want to change around. People become familiar with your logo, they trust it and what it stands for so you don’t want to change it. Imagine if McDonald’s ditched the golden arches and came up with another logo. It would be ridiculous. You want a logo that will offer a long life.

Your logo is nothing short of an investment. Taking all of this into account, do you think you have what it takes to create your own logo design?
