Noobpreneur Business Blog New Design

Redesign NoobpreneurI am proud to announce the new design of Noobpreneur.com.

Maybe this post answers those of you who wonder why accessing Noobpreneur.com is a bit annoying. Blank screen, error messages, and awkward layout are some parts that I’m finally be able to address.

Why do I want a new design?

You see, the previous design Noobpreneur.com uses was built upon a framework from Thesis. Thesis is easy to customise and great for bloggers who want to build a WordPress-based blog without knowing the jargons and techie stuffs.

The strengths are also the weaknesses – I am finally fed up with Thesis, not that it is a bad theme. The thing is, I can’t customise the theme the way I want easily. If I wanted to add a piece of PHP code on top of each post, I have to go through several files, and this makes things difficult for me. Yes, Thesis do offer files to do customisation in, but I guess I don’t like to be limited :)

So, after a long search on free, premium, even custom WordPress theme design, I finally decided to use Prosense theme by Dosh Dosh as a framework, and develop a design and layout the way I wanted based on the great free WordPress theme (yes, it’s free!)

New Noobpreneur.com Features

I tried to use the design elements and the colour scheme from Noobpreneur.com’s previous design, and add the following features:

  • Authors showcase at the bottom of the blog (So yes, being a Noobpreneur.com business bloggers will get you site-wide link to your website.)
  • Advertiser banners on top of the blog (they keep Noobpreneur.com rolling – so, they deserve this!).
  • … and of course, blog posts from different authors with different business experience.

If you have any feedback, feel free to contact me, or post your comments here :)
