A little background story
Chalcedony Design has always been my passion for a long time. It actually started back in 2003, but it was formally doing business since 2006. Unfortunately, since this is a sole proprietor business where I run my own show wearing many hats – Designing, marketing, bookkeeping, etc., time constraint slows the business down, eventually dies the business. I can’t say it was going out of business – I do a design job or two, but I can’t say that it is a “business” – “Freelancing” would be best to describe what I did at that time.
To cut a long story short, I decided that this month would be the best time to relaunch the business, as I have laid out a better business plan, incorporating something that I talk quite a lot in my previous articles: Outsourcing.

We utilise the power of the Internet: Chalcedony Design is relaunched – fully operated online – based on a premise: More heads = better services quality.
I decided to partner with literally dozens of freelancers that are experts in their respective fields, from dozens of country of origin – So we are an International business, really :) Of course, I hand picked a handful from hundreds of freelancers, so that quality is assured.
My role in Chalcedony Design is website and blog building and, of course, managing the business.
