hello, nice blog post. i am a home business person, make about 200k per year. I actually sell degrees based on life experience. So many people need college degrees to compete in the tough joba markets, it seems those that arent buying degrees are dedicated entrpreneurs, whick brings about another question, do business owners in general just have more drive, more risk in them by nature? Interesting, Well, I have no degree and have worked for an employer only once in my life – by the way im old as dirt, lol. thanks again for letting me post

You are right about education not necessarily have to be related to college degree. I am, too, educate myself more (and better) than my college years, as, IMO, college prepares professionals, not entrepreneurs.

However, I consider a college as a social melting pot, where you can learn as well as networking with others – hopefully, with your next business partners.

But having a college education, along with the degree, is only one of the paths you can take in your entrepreneur journey. The choice is for each entrepreneur to make.

I love the post! Personally, I do not belive that a college degree is neccessry for entrepreneurship. True entrepreneurship comes from the heart, and it moves you to do what you love … It’s like your born with it!

Of course I do believe that educating yourself is very neccessary for success … But that education does not neccessarily have to be a college education. I’ve learned so much by educated myself and doing my own research on a lot of things. Non-the-less, I love the post.
