Great article. I agree with your statement about how having the wrong web hosting will mean disaster for your online business. A lot of entrepreneurs fail to realize this.

Now that you’ve mentioned about “review” type of business, a friend of mine took my suggestion on a food review business and is now quite successful in Asia. You can look at my blog for more detailed information. I’ve digged through my aged email and made a post out of it :) I guess all review business is good because people like to be given different choices and compare which one is the best. Review business does it all for you.

That’s typical – my friend is also experiencing the same, and now he runs a reseller program provided by a bona fide web hosting providers – with the same reasons you mentioned – high overheads and lots of headaches :D

Interesting. I do see the need for it. Often people who are new to online business don’t realize the importance of a reliable hosting can be in the long run. I have a couple of friends who hosted their own server at home to reduce the hosting fees offered by web hosting companies. This, in the long run, amazingly, all turned out to be a disaster. They spend numerous amount of time and effort on maintaining their servers to provide reliable and secured services for their customers. I have been recommending them to reliable web hosting services (with postive customer feedback(s) of course) and they have all chosen to use web hosting services afterwards. There is a need in this field as more and more people begin to find out the importance of reliable web hosting to the growth of their business.
