It seems that item number 3 would be a big money-saver. It’s amazing how much it can cost to heat a place of residence, much less a place of business! I bet a tangible price reduction would be seen in the following month’s energy bill. thanks!

We have been exploring energy saving opportunities and the use of computers. We find that an additional 24% can be found changing our work behavior.

Unfortunately much of the information on computer energy consumption is out of date or has exaggerated claims.

Indeed – The Internet enables us to cut costs (and carbon emission) considerably. Although critics say that web servers pollute our air as much as our cars did, some of them are migrating to a more greener practices, thus enable us browse the Web with green(er) power while cut expenses.

Thanks for the smart article! We might add use the internet to save energy! There are websites to hold a meeting online rather than showing up in person after a plane ride and car rental; use free websites for conference calls and use websites over which you can set quite large files rather than calling your favorite freight company.

Ivan- Read you blog with interest. My personal and business interest in “green” is regarding the energy savings and how it can improve the bottom line. I majored in Energy Management in college 25+ years ago and have maintained interest in this field. In addition to yourabove Tips – I might add that many governments and utlilities around the world are offering incentives,rebates,tax credits etc. for implementing various energy saving practices. regards-Scott
